Twin City Subaru Shares the Love with the Central Vermont Council on Aging

Twin City Subaru has partnered with the Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) in honor of Subaru of America’s “Share the Love” event. “Share the Love” is an annual program where five different charities are selected; for every new Subaru vehicle that is purchased between Nov. 21, 2012 and Jan. 2, 2013, Subaru will donate $250 to the charity of the consumer’s choice.

For the fifth straight year, Meals On Wheels has been selected as one of the five participating nonprofits; CVCOA contracts with 12 different local Meals on Wheels programs to provide meals in their 54-town service area, according to Kathy Paquet, CVCOA nutrition & wellness coordinator.

Employees from Twin City Subaru joined forces with CVCOA over the holiday season by participating in meal as well as attending the annual Christmas party at The Greater Northfield Senior Center in Northfield, Vt.

“It was such a nice experience to spend time with the wonderful attendees at the holiday lunch, and the employees too; they were all amazing people,” said Madeleine Cave, Twin City Subaru internet marketing specialist, who attended the holiday party. “It was a perfect way to get local seniors together for the holidays, and it was a great social event with lots of laughs!”

Twin City Subaru Internet Marketing Director Cara Gorman and Sales & Leasing Consultant Joe Sweeney delivered meals with a volunteer from the Meals On Wheels program last week.

“My grandmother was a Meals On Wheels recipient for several years. It was nice to have an opportunity to give back to a program that gave so much to my family. Delivering meals as part of the Share the Love event introduced me to some pretty amazing Central Vermont Seniors. It was an experience I will always remember and a good reminder of how important it is to help seniors,” Gorman said.

Over the last fiscal year, over 187,000 meals were provided through the CVCOA’s contracts.

“Without Meals On Wheels, many of our elders wouldn’t eat well,” said Paquet in the CVCOA press release for the event. “The meal is more than a meal; it shows that the community cares about our elders.”

Both Twin City Subaru and the CVCOA are proud to be partnering with one another. “I’m happy to see that you [all] found the Meals on Wheels and Community Christmas meal a rewarding experience,” said Paquet. “We always say ‘it’s the best kept secret’. However, in these tight economic times we need to tell the secret and share the opportunity with others to experience such a rewarding service to our elders, especially those in Central Vermont.”

Subaru BRZ is Flying off the Lots!

Extra production is needed for the all-new Subaru BRZ, since its been flying off the lots of Subaru dealerships since its introduction earlier this year. Since the BRZ was a completely new move for Subaru, they weren't positive how consumers would feel about it, therefore making pretty low production targets for the sports car in its first year.

Turns out - the 2013 BRZ is a hit. "We have been sold out of the car since it was introduced... we are selling all the BRZs we can get," said Subaru of American Chief Operating Officer Tom Doll. Subaru will be getting an additional 2000 units of production over the next four months; they've been receiving just 500 BRZs a month since its U.S. debut in April.

"With excellent reliability, a great price and extremely fun rear-wheel drive platform, the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S stand alone in the market," according to Automoblog.

If you're interested, please view our 2013 Subaru BRZ inventory here. And if you have any questions please call us! (802) 922-9771.

Subaru is Outpacing the US Auto Industry

Subaru has sold over 300,000 cars in the US this year to date for the first time in history - they say it's because of its new product launches in 2012. Subaru's increase in sales for this year is double what other automakers have experienced in increase. With that, they've added capacity to the factory in Indiana and expect to increase the number of workers there by about 600. Subaru is also looking into bringing another car over from Japan.

Subaru is doing fantastic! Are we surprised? No, not really. Want to jump on the bandwagon or continue your Subaru-driving joy? Click either link to view our pre-owned Subaru inventory or brand-new Subaru inventory here.

Last-Minute, Super-Easy, Amazingly-Delicious Thanksgiving Dessert

Before
Subaru friends, I'm sorry about the late notice, but I just made this last night and it's amazing. It's extremely easy and requires zero oven time, and almost zero waiting! The recipe I got it from has a bit too much of a swanky name for this blog, but it's more or less a dessert chex mix that literally melts in your mouth. Here it is, and Happy Thanksgiving! (If you don't have time to make this for Thanksgiving, definitely give it a go after. It's also gluten free!)

Ingredients

8 cups Corn Chex cereal
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons salted butter, plus another half stick
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips
Sea salt
(Keep in mind you can really use any combination of chocolates and toppings!)

Directions:
Half-way there

  • Put tinfoil over a large baking sheet, set aside.
  • Put Chex mix into a large microwavable bowl, set aside.
  • In a smaller microwavable bowl, put brown sugar, corn syrup and 6 tablespoons of butter. Microwave for two minutes, stirring after the first minute to combine. Remove and add baking soda, stirring until dissolved. Pour over Chex.
  • Mix chex and caramel mixture until combined, then place in the microwave for three minutes, stirring every minute to cover all of the pieces.
  • Once finished, dump Chex mixture onto the baking sheet, distributing evenly. Let completely cool (I put mine in the fridge for about ten minutes to speed up the process!)
  • While it's cooling, use a small saucepan and put a third of the remaining butter in with the milk chocolate chips. Melt on low stirring constantly so as not to burn the chocolate. (Better cooks than me would use a double broiler but this worked just fine!) Set aside.
  • Repeat this step with the white chocolate and then the peanut butter chips. If any of your chocolate mixtures are too thick, just add a little bit of milk or cream and stir.
  • After the Chex has cooled and you're done creating your chocolate sauces, break the Chex mixture into bite-sized pieces. Drizzle each chocolate mix over the pieces evenly. Coat the top of the mixture in sea salt - the amount of savory you like in your sweets is up to your discretion :)
Wait for it to cool, then enjoy!

The last image is from the original recipe, because hers pictures are much better than mine! :)

2014 Turbochared Subaru Forester to Debut Nov. 30

The 2014 Subaru Forester is set to debut at the LA Auto Show on Nov. 30, 2012. This turbocharged version is heavily anticipated, and for good reason.

It has slightly bigger dimensions, with a roomy interior, increased rear seat legroom and an enlarged cargo area. Additional features for the new Forester are an infotainment system with smartphone integration, navigation system, rearview back-up camera and a Harmon Kardon premium audio amplifier and speakers.

As for powertrain, it's got options for a 170 horsepower, 2.5-liter Boxer with either a six-speed manual or Continuously Variable Transmission. The second option is a 250 horsepower, 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged flat four that is connected to a CVT.

The new Subaru Forester will go on sale in Japan in early 2013, and we can expect it not too, too long after that. We'll keep you updated as we know more, but in the meantime check out our used Subaru Forester and 2013 Subaru Forester inventory here.

Twin City Subaru and 802 Toyota Scion Create Guaranteed Used Car Program

Hi all - here is our just-published press release regarding our new Guaranteed Used Car program!

802 Toyota Scion and Twin City Subaru have created a new “Guaranteed Used Car” program, effective Nov. 1, 2012. Guaranteed Used Cars purchased from either dealership include all required maintenance, mechanical repairs and all original equipment through the first 12 months after purchase or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Look for the yellow frame - these are all GUCs!
Guaranteed Used Cars are marked on both the 802 Toyota Scion and Twin City Subaru websites by a yellow frame surrounding the picture of the vehicle, as opposed to the standard blue frame on the majority of their inventory.

GUCs that don't have pictures yet will have a border like this!
“All manufacturers required maintenance will be performed at no cost to the consumer at the appropriate mileage for 12 months or 12,000 miles from date of purchase. This includes (but is not limited to) oil and filter changes, spark plug replacement, 30,000, 60,000, or other major services and all required maintenance per the Owner’s manual. We will also include a complimentary Vermont State Inspection if required. All work must be performed at the dealership purchased from (Twin City Subaru or 802 Toyota),” according to the VT Cars website.

Also included are all Original Equipment from Manufacturer (OEM), which includes wear items such as brakes, windshield wiper blades and tires. These items too must be repaired at the dealership the vehicle is purchased at, either 802 Toyota Scion or Twin City Subaru.

The only items not included are physical damage, acts of God or cosmetic damage, according to their website. This includes damage to the rims and tires from potholes, curbs or other impacts; broken windshields, vandalism, scratches, dents or rust.

Twin City Subaru and 802 Toyota Scion to Host 11th Annual Stuff-A-Truck Event

Hello fans! Here is our newly-released Press Release for the 11th Annual Stuff-A-Truck event, check it out:

From Nov. 15-Nov. 17, 802 Toyota will host Frank’s 11th Annual Stuff-A-Truck Food and Funds Drive to benefit the Central Vermont Salvation Army Emergency Food Shelf. Frank FM’s TJ Marshall and Froggy’s JD Green invite Vermonters to come and “Stuff the Truck” with canned foods, non perishables and monetary donations to help fellow Central Vermonters in need.

802 Toyota Scion and Twin City Subaru have been a part of the annual Stuff-A-Truck event for years, and continue their support by hosting this year’s event outside of 802 Toyota’s brand-new building.

With the tagline “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”, the Stuff-A-Truck event has helped feed Vermont families; raising 18 tons of food and thousands of dollars last year alone. According to Marshall and Green, however, we still need to do more.

“…due to rising unemployment and tougher economic conditions, the Salvation Army is helping and feeding more and more Vermont families. The food raised last year only made it to the end of July this year,” they wrote in their official Donation Location Collection Kit.

The Salvation Army has seen a 155 percent increase in the number of families requesting assistance over the past two years, according to Michaels. Despite breaking their own record of food raised last year, they ran out earlier than in previous years. Now, they say, the public’s help is needed more than ever.

The drive goes on for 24 hours a day, which Michaels and Green have pledged to stay outside for until the truck is filled.

“We don’t go home and we go on an emotional roller coaster ride. Along with all the outpouring of support and goodwill, we hear very touching stories from the people who donate who either know someone who was helped or at one time in their lives was helped by the Salvation Army,” Green said in an earlier press release about the event.

Both 802 Toyota and Twin City Subaru will be holding their own food drive of sorts leading up to the event. Twin City Subaru will have a Subaru Forester set up to act as their “stuffing truck”, and 802 Toyota Scion will have a Scion iQ in their own showroom, both in the hopes that visitors and customers can help participate in the days leading up to the actual Stuff-A-Truck drive.

Both General Manager at 802 Toyota Scion Todd Mobley and Twin City Subaru General Sales Mananger Chris Davis have high hopes for the event.

"Contributing to our community is at the very core of who we are as businesses. We are very proud to serve our community and hope to achieve our goal of keeping families in our community fed through all of 2013. It is a lofty goal, but we believe together we can make a difference,” Mobley said.

For more information please visit Twin City Subaru's Stuff-A-Truck event page.

Newly-Released Subaru WRX and STI Special Editions

Appropriately released right before Halloween, the Subaru WRX and STI special editions have a tangerine exterior with black accents; jet black custom wheels, front grille, blades and mirror caps. The inside compliments the shell's color scheme by having a black interior with tangerine stitching.

The horsepower remains the same on both, but the best part is that there are only 200 WRX models and 100 STI models being released, which will go on sale in 2013. This is part of a long-standing tradition Subaru has for customizing vehicles for SEMA.

We'll keep you updated as we hear more about these fancy WRX and STIs, and if you'd like to view our Subaru WRX inventory, click here!

Ben & Jerry's Founder Shares Company's Philosophy

One of Ben & Jerry's founders, Jerry Greenfield (alongside Ben Cohen) shared some of their company's philosophies during a trip to Syracuse University. I thought this was a cool story and awesome concept, and of course we're lucky enough to have Ben & Jerry's be local to us in Vermont, so we gotta share!

Jerry said that the two of them originally started with a $4,000 bank loan and $8,000 in cash out of their own pockets. They bought an old five-gallon ice cream-making machine and rented an old gas station in Burlington. While renovating the station they used the cheapest material possible and said that the wood was so green when you hammered a nail into it, it squirted right back at you!

Jerry spoke about their battle with massive corporation Pillsbury, where the "food giant" tried to prevent distributors from carrying Ben & Jerry's ice cream. At that point, Ben wanted to get out of the business because he didn't like the way that business was done in the business world, and he didn't want to become that. Until a friend asked, "why don't you just change it?"

So they did. They sold stock to Vermont residents as opposed to Venture Capitalists and set aside some pre-tax profits for charitable work. They buy millions of dollars in brownies from a bakery that hires those who have had legal or substance abuse problems, and 14 of their 250 stores are run by non-profits that seek to train people.

Jerry said that buildings reflect a shift in society. The biggest structures were once religious places, then government buildings and now business, but they want to keep a spiritual aspect to Ben & Jerry's.

Awesome story by Syracuse.com. We thank them for sharing and hope you enjoyed the parts that you didn't already know!

Subaru BRZ STI Turbocharged Concept

Speed Lux just posted on article on the 2012 Australian International Motor Show, where Subaru showcased a new Project car aimed for racing purposes, equipped with a concept sports kit from Subaru Technica International - also known as STI. This concept is street legal, and would include rear-wheel drive, front and side under spoilers, rear under diffuser and a boot lip spoiler.

The best part is, this concept is the Subaru BRZ meeting the STI. It has the body of the BRZ, and the performance of the STI. Coming with a flexible tower brace, coil spring suspension set, short shift gear lever, gear knob, instrument panel trim, push-button start, black wheel nut set, sports muffler and 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as a series of STI performance parts, suspension upgrades, accessories and spoilers, according to Speed Lux.

They also posted a quote from Managing Director of Subaru Australia Nick Senior, "All indications are that many BRZ buyers want to add some performance touches to their cars, and choosing genuine Subaru equipment offers great design, quality and peace-of-mind that aren't necessarily guaranteed by after-market suppliers."

Hopefully we'll have more updates soon on whether or not this concept will become a reality for the 2014 Subaru BRZ model. For now, we'll keep you in the loop as much as we are, and of course be sure to take a look at our current 2013 Subaru BRZ selection here.

The Subaru BRZ Meets the Subaru WRX STI

Automobile Mag just published a blog post featuring the Subaru BRZ, side by side with a Subaru WRX STI. One of Automobile Mag's videographers, Sandon Voelker happens to be a WRX STI owner, so they gave him a BRZ for a weekend to really compare the two.

Let it be known though, that this guy is a die-hard fan of the STI; being an avid biker and videographer, he is always carrying loads of equipment of various sorts and believes the WRX STI is the best on the market for his needs. This includes cargo capacity, above-average performance and a less-than $50k price tag, according to Automobile.

Want either? View our Subaru WRX inventory or Subaru BRZ inventory.

So here's what he thought:

He loved the seats of the BRZ, saying instantly that they were more supportive sitting behind the wheel (the wheel that is covered by better materials in the STI). He says performance-wise,the BRZ's seats are miles ahead of the STI's. He still prefers the pedal placement in the STI, "because heel-toe shifts are much more natural." The infotainment system, he said, is more desirable in the STI.

As for design, the two cars are so different. On this, Sandon is too biased; he simply prefers wagons any day. He does love the look of the BRZ and compliments it immensely; it's just not for him. He also loves the cargo space of the STI, which you'll find less of in the BRZ because of the STI's hatchback.

Interior styling are very similar in the BRZ and STI, yet driving is quite different. "It doesn't take long to determine southeastern Michigan's roads favor the STI's more potent engine and more aggressive summer tires," according to Automobile Mag. However, Sandon says the BRZ gets the trifecta with its great chassis setup, appropriate amount of power and low-rolling resistance tires.

Which one is your favorite?

Automobile Mag will be posting another article featuring which snow tires work best with the drive of the BRZ, so stay tuned and happy driving!

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek Keeps Subaru as No. 1 in Safety

The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek was just awarded Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, making Subaru the only manufacturer to have Top Safety Picks across their entire lineup.

"All Subaru cars need to be recognized as some of the safest cars on the planet," according to the article. Subaru has received Top Safety Pick for all of its models three years running, with the Subaru BRZ receiving the award last month and just recently, the XV Crosstrek.

“For three years running, Subaru is the only automotive manufacturer with the distinction of earning IIHS Top Safety Pick awards for every model it builds. It’s tough to win, and we commend Subaru for making safety a top priority," said IIHS President Adrian Lund.

Good work Subaru! Are we surprised? Well, no. But it's still exciting to be awarded for something so hugely vital to everyone; drivers, salespeople and manufacturers. Don't forget to reserve your 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek today! - Just click the link ;)

The Development of the 2013 Subaru BRZ

Subaru released a couple of videos that show the development of the 2013 Subaru BRZ. Motor Authority posted these two, and what they have to say about the car sums it up perfectly.

"Unlike many of today's “fast” cars, the Subaru BRZ didn’t start life as a grocery-getter, later enhanced by a stiffer suspension and more powerful engine. Instead, the BRZ was designed from the ground up as a driver’s car, built to an affordable price point. By our measure, that’s enough to make the car exceptional."

When you're done watching, browse our online inventory of the 2013 Subaru BRZ.

2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek - First Impressions

A tester's first impressions and honest review of the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Miranda Lightstone wrote a great an informational piece on her first impressions of the Subaru XV Crosstrek. It’s always nice to have an outsider’s perspective on a car, even if we’re the ones selling it!

Before we begin, if you’re interested after reading click any of the following links to: reserve an XV Crosstrek, see the XV’s features and specs, view its fabulous colors or get an overview of the Crosstrek. You can always call us at (802) 922-9771 to ask any questions whatsoever – we’re as excited about the XV as you are; we’re more than happy to help :). Now onto the important stuff!

We've all seen how it looks, either in pictures or in person, so I won’t go into too many details from this section, but Miranda put down good marks for its design.

“The XV Crosstrek is a woodsman in urbanite attire,” she wrote. “Sleeker than the Outback and beefier than an Impreza, the XV Crosstrek strikes a pleasant balance between off-roader and city dweller. It’s fancy without being impractical, and functional without being brutish.”

As for the interior, the XV Crosstrek resembles its Subaru siblings.

As far as core technology, Miranda was pleased to see Subaru go back to the 2.0L engine configuration, but was slightly less excited about the manual transmission; it’s only available in 5-speed whereas the 2013 Legacy and the 2013 Outback are both equipped with 6-speed.

The XV proved itself capable on rough terrain; she took it through rugged terrain and torrential downpour, as well as over rocks, branches and elevation with absolutely no disappointment.

Most importantly - The XV is killing it in the price department; its main competitors (Nissan Juke, MINI Countryman and Mitsubishi RVR) are all priced way above the XV’s starting MSRP of $22,790.

When the XV deliveries start happening in October, we'll have way more reviews and "first drives" to share, but hopefully this one was informational enough as you've started your browsing in the XV department. What does everything think of the XV Crosstrek so far? Anyone placed an order?

Subaru Bringing a Convertible BRZ to the US in 2014

The 2014 Subaru BRZ Convertible

The 2013 Subaru BRZ
Subaru is the works of creating a convertible BRZ to bring to the US in 2014. Thus far, plans for a convertible-style FR-S in America are not in action, so if you want the convertible version of the all-new sports car - Subaru is going to be the place to get it!

There is also talk of creating a coupe with just two seats for the convertible version, but we're not sure how much of that is rumor or fact, we'll have to wait and see! It's also said that the convertible BRZ will be competing with the Mazda MX-5 and the Ford Mustang - which are no competition for the sporty BRZ, with its own spectacular style that's paired with the excellent Subaru reputation. Sporty and dependable - a good mix!

If you'd like to take a look at the original, browse our 2013 Subaru BRZ inventory here.

Who are you? The 2013 Subaru BRZ or the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek?

Which 2013 Subaru Vehicle Fits your Style? The BRZ or the XV Crosstrek?

Subaru has recently come out with two amazing vehicles; the BRZ and the Crosstrek. The question is, which one to choose? We've been mulling over that question for a little while now and decided it's time to come up with an answer. So let's take a look...

What they have in common:

  • The Subaru BOXER engine
  • MP3 capability
  • Bluetooth Hands-Free
  • Leather seating surfaces (on Limited models)
  • Automatic or manual options (BRZ is six-speed in both, XV is five-speed manual or CVT lineartronic)
  • Automatic climate control
  • Available voice-activated GPS navigation system
  • Affordable (The XV starts at $22,790, while the BRZ starts at $25,495)
  • They are both sporty cars; just in different ways

How they're different:
The 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek (you can almost sense the adventure)

The XV is known for its cargo room and versatility. Drivers of the XV love the great outdoors and the activities they can do there. The XV is for the all-year enjoyment driver, with AWD and an all-weather package that includes heated exterior mirrors, heated front seats and a windshield wiper de-icer. The seven airbags contribute to the safety of the XV, making it an excellent family vehicle as well as one that's perfect for a single person or couple. Up to 33 MPGs makes it the most fuel-efficient AWD crossover in America.

The 2013 Subaru BRZ in action (see how fast?)
The BRZ is for the sports car lover that appreciates the dependability and technology behind the Subaru name. “Subaru engineered the BRZ to send its power to the rear wheels. Combined with a compact, naturally symmetrical drivetrain design, you get a sports car with optimal balance and one of the lowest centers of gravity in its class,” according to Subaru themselves. The BRZ keeps up with others in its class with its 8-speaker audio system, in-dash CD player, MP3 playback and XM satellite radio, not to mention its keyless access and start. The Sport-Tuned Suspension gives the BRZ independent MacPherson struts in the front and independent double wishbone suspension in the back. Vroom vroom!

So which one are you? The versatile, fun-loving, outgoing type? Or the fast, fun-loving, outgoing type?

I guess Subarus have a knack for the fun-loving and outgoing types, huh?

When you've made your choice - that's where we come in - view our 2013 Subaru BRZ inventory here, or view our 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek page here. Still can't decide? Click either link to browse 'em both!

Happy driving!

In lieu of our upcoming Subaru XV Crosstrek release (and by upcoming, I mean tomorrow, so if you haven't registered do so here!), we decided it'd be fun to pick out a few of the semi-local destinations on the app for you to check out. I mean, what better way to break in a brand-new XV Crosstrek (or any other Subaru for that matter) than to take a drive to a fun, adventurous and beautiful location? Enjoy!

Flume Gorge, Lincoln NH
A self-guided, two-mile walk stands at the beginning of the park that brings you through a cleft, which narrows to just 12 feet with rushing water underneath you. The walls of the granite on either side of you rise between 70 to 90 feet, where there is a hike of mostly walkways, stairs and beautiful surrounding nature.

Rollins Pond Campground, Saranac Lake NY
According to another Subaru lover and traveler, Rollins Pond should be at the top of your list if you love camping, canoes, paddle boats or kayaks. This dog-friendly site has hot water, clean bathrooms and any of the previous activity available for rental upon your request.

Atii Expeditions, Moretown VT

This amazing Vermont destination offers personalized, two-hour lessons in skijoring. If you don't know what that means, no problem - we didn't either! It's basically cross country skiing with your dog harnessed in front of you. They say it's perfect if you have a pooch that doesn't love to heel when you walk, and great for bonding!

Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Franconia NH
In less than ten minutes, this tram takes you up to the 4,080ft summit of Cannon Mountain, looking over Franconia Notch and the White Mountains. When it's clear, you can see mountains in four different states as well as Canada, and at the top there is a 360 degree observation deck equipped with a cafe, bar and bathrooms.

Kingdom Trails, East Burke VT
This 100-mile trail is unique due to the fact that most of the trail is made up of people's private property, that they allow to be used by bikers, cross country skiers and hikers. It's accessible year round, with trails that vary in difficulty, and oh, Bike Magazine voted it the best biking trail in North America; can't be too shabby!

In Good Company, Rockland ME
I have no choice but to be biased here - this restaurant is in the town I grew up in - I'll be honest! But we know our yummy food here in Vermont so if you're traveling to the coast - this is the place to go. Their slogan is "Wine. Food. Friends." and it is comprised of exactly that. The menu changes weekly and is made up of some of the best food I've ever tasted - seriously. If you head that way, bon appetit from me, Subaru friends!

I hope you've enjoyed reading about these wonderful locations, and I hope you make your way to them in the near or farther future! Please check out the app, it's fantastic! And please register for our Subaru XV Crosstrek release event tomorrow. Not only is it going to be great, but who doesn't love free food, if nothing else? :)

What Subaru XV Color Best Suits You?

Many psychologists say that the colors you favor say a lot about your personality. And vise versa; if you're unsure about your favorite color, you can determine which ones suit you by seeing the colors that best describe your personality.

We thought it'd be fun to put together a list of the Subaru XV Crosstrek colors and the personality traits that go with them, so you can either pick which color is best for you, or see why your favorite XV color happens to be your favorite after all.

Ice Silver Metallic (Silver)

You are intuitive and insightful, and can have a higher connection to spirituality.

Marine Blue Pearl (Blue)

Blue represents calmness and serenity. You are peaceful, tranquil, secure and orderly.

Tangerine Orange Pearl (Orange)

An energetic color, orange can create feelings of excitement, enthusiasm and warmth. You are social, accepted and respected - you also won't say no to a challenge!

Venetian Red Pearl (Red)

You are action oriented and feel the need to experience life through all five senses as well as achieve physical fulfillment.

Satin White Pearl (White)

You are independent and self reliant; enjoying the simplicity of life. White also represents purity and innocence.

Crystal Black Silica (Black)

Black is a popular indicator of power or need for power and control. It is also a sign of sophistication and formality.

Dark Gray Metallic (Gray)

Gray shows that you are cool, conserved, reliable and composed. You tend to keep the peace and go with the flow.

Desert Khaki (Gold)

Twin City Subaru to Introduce the New Subaru XV Crosstrek!

Hello Subaru fans! We've just sent out a press release regarding our big night coming up on August 8! Check it out here:

Twin City Subaru to Introduce the New Subaru XV Crosstrek
Twin City Subaru Will Present the New Subaru XV Crosstrek in Conjunction with Customer Appreciation Night

Berlin, Vt. – Twin City Subaru will be hosting a “Customer Appreciation Night” August 8, 2012 at 6 p.m. in the Twin City Subaru showroom located on the Berlin Mall Road in Berlin, Vt. The Customer Appreciation Night will include complimentary dinner, puzzles and word games, informational speakers and prizes. The event is held two or three times each year at Twin City in order to provide new Subaru owners with information specific to their vehicles as well as honor them for joining the Subaru “family”.

“We have Customer Appreciation Nights as a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to our great customers, reward them for entrusting us with their automotive needs, and do more for them than just sell a car,” said Twin City Subaru General Sales Manager Chris Davis.

Prizes at the event include a free oil change, car detailing service, a $200 voucher towards tire mount and balance of all four tires, and a Valet Service voucher; where Twin City Subaru will pick up your vehicle at your home or office within 25 miles of the dealership, lend you a rental vehicle and return your vehicle at the completion of your service or repair. Prizes will only be awarded to those who have preregistered and are present for the event.

This Customer Appreciation Night will stray slightly from those in the past in the honor of a new vehicle joining the Subaru model line. Twin City Subaru will be presenting the all-new 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek, a new crossover Subaru that presents itself as a crossover SUV-version of the Impreza, and whose arrival has been heavily anticipated in the U.S.

“We’re excited about this. These events are just another opportunity to reconnect with our customers; another way to show them that they are more than a number and are truly valued. They are the most important piece of the puzzle and without them we’re nothing,” said Davis. “Not to mention that this time we’re unveiling the all-new XV Crosstrek!”

Register for the event here! Questions regarding the even can be answered by calling Twin City Subaru at (802) 922-9771.
