Phone App for Canine Emergencies

Something that's almost always near and dear to Subaru owners is their pet. If you're a pet owner, I'm sure one time or another you've experience that paralyzing fear when you think something is really wrong with your furry friend. Whether they're just sick or really have a medical emergency - here's an app for both the iPhone and Android that can help you find the closest vet as soon as possible when you're away from home.

It's called Press Panic, all you do is press the panic button and the app will scan your GPS location and cross reference it with 30,000 veterinary hospitals in its database. It then offers quick call and quick direction to the user.

The app charges you $2.00 when you do the search, but is free for downloading. It doesn't however charge you for its second feature, which is finding a human hospital. So if you or someone you're with has an emergency, it will find the closest hospital in the same fashion.

I discovered that my pup had serious worms during a six-hour drive to Maine last summer and I would have killed for this app! Although many situations can wait a few hours (like mine) - some cannot. So download the app and rest easy that when you travel with your companion they're just a button away from care (hopefully you'll never need it!)
